Bhubaneswar: Noted social activist Padma Shri Tulasi Munda was admitted to Apollo Hospital here after she complained of chest pain.
As per reports, Munda attended a meeting at Barbil in Keonjhar district yesterday and returned to her ashram at Serenda at around 1 PM. She complained of chest pain and breathing difficulties at around 3 pm.
Following this, she was rushed to TATA Steel Hospital in Joda. Later, she was shifted to the Apollo Hospital in the State capital.
Tulasi Munda was awarded the Padma Shri in 2001 for her contribution to spreading literacy among the impoverished adivasi peoples of Odisha.
