Bhubaneswar: Odisha State Beverages Corporation (OSBC L), a State-owned Public Sector Undertaking paid its dividend to the State Government today.
Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra received the a cheque of Rs. Rs.7,58,01,326.00 from the Principal Secretary Excise and Chairman OSBCL Sri S.K. Lohani in Lokseba Bhawan in the presence of Development Commissioner Sri Pradeep Kumar Jena and Principal Secretary Finance Sri Ashok Kumar Meena.
On the occasion, Principal Secretary Sri Lohani said, “As per the decisions of the Annual General Meeting of the Corporation, we have paid this amount to Government towards dividend for the year 2019-20”.
He added, “apart from this amount, the OSBCL has also donated Rs.15 cr to the Chief Ministers’ Relief Fund; and, Rs.1.43 cr to the Health & Family Welfare Department for purchase of the ambulances with an advanced life support system and technology during the year”.
Managing Director Sri Saroj Kumar Sethi present on the occasion said, “OSBCCL in its fight against the ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 has distributed sanitiser and masks to the differently-abled persons and transgender communities during the current year”.
