Orient Paper Mills Loot: Brajrajnagar Police Arrests Five

Jharsuguda: Police have claimed to have arrested at least five persons for allegedly looting Orient Paper Mills in Brajrajnagar town of Jharsuguda district.

Cops also seized more than a quintal copper wire stolen from the premises of the paper mill.

According to available information, as many as 15 miscreants entered the OPM premises to carry out dacoity late on December 18 night while Security Guards deployed at the mill tried to oppose them.

However, the situation turned ugly as the anti-socials started attacking the security guards with sharp weapons.

At least 4 Security Guards were injured in the attack and were initially admitted to the Central Hospital in Mandalia before two were shifted to the VIMSAR hospital in Burla.

Acting on the written complaint lodged by the mills authorities, the Brajrajnagar Police launched an investigation and arrested five accused.

Meanwhile, other accused are reportedly absconding, sources said.
