New Delhi: The opposition have questioned the Centre on the ban of 59 Chinese mobile apps by asking what purpose this will serve for the country.
The Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D Raja asked the Central government to tell the nation on the efficaciousness of the ban.
Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy said that instead of banning the Chinese apps, the BJP government should do a surgical strike on China to get our territory back.
The Congress party, has however, welcomed the Union government’s move to ban nearly 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok, WeChat and UC Browser.
Senior party leader Ahmed Patel twitted that the party welcomes the ban on Chinese apps, but the government must take substantial and effective measures in this regard.
