Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch has arrested a person with the seizure of brown sugar worth Rs 1 crore from Bhubaneswar.
The arrested accused has been identified as Umesh Behera.
Acting on a tip-off, the officials conducted a raid near Sundarapda under Airfield police limits. During the raid, police seized brown sugar weighing 1.05 kilogram from the possession of the accused.
The cops have launched a probe in this regard and forwarded the accused to the court. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of procurement of the contraband.
