Dhenkanal: In a tragic incident, one person was killed and another was injured after the motorcycle, they were riding fell off from an under-construction bridge near Shaktisugar in Dhenkanal district.
The deceased has been identified as Rajiv and the injured was identified as Rashmiranjan.
As per reports, the incident took place while the duo was heading towards Cuttack from Dhenkanal. Meanwhile, the rider lost control over the vehicle and fell off an under-construction bridge. While Rajiv died on the spot, Rashmiranjan sustained serious injuries.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. Rashmiranjan was immediately rushed to Dhenkanal DHH and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his health condition deteriorated.
Further investigation is underway into the matter, sources said
