India’s big medal hope & top seed Amit Panghal was eliminated in 2nd round (52kg).
It’s almost inexplicable how Panghal looked like he ran out of energy after the first round. By the third round he could hardly move his arms. This is one of the most well-conditioned athletes that one can imagine.
He left the Kokugikan Arena in a huff, did not want to speak to journalists.
