Bhubaneswar: To check the spread of COVID-19, the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) on Monday imposed restrictions on the entry of general public, petitioners and party to its office till May 31.
According to a notification issued by the OHRC, “In view of sudden upsurge of COVID-19 infection and recent deaths of official working in offices located at Toashali Bhawan, and in order to adopt strict social distancing and isolation measures to stop further spread of COVID-19 infections in the office and as per the State government direction, the entry of general public, petitioners and party is restricted to the office of the Odisha Human Rights Commission till May 31.”
“During this period, the office will function with bare minimum staff. Registration and scrutiny of the complainants will continue on regular basis.
Only urgent cases shall be taken up for hearing. The complaint petition may be filled through official email (ohrc@nic.in). For such urgent hearing, the Assistant Registrar, OHRC may be contacted over his mobile number 8763642080.
Extremely urgent matter can be taken up/heard after obtaining permission from the Chairperson and parties may opt for hearing through virtual mode by providing their mobile number and email Id to the Asst Registrar, ” it read.
