During the DGsP/IGsP Conference – 2024, Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the award 2nd best Police Station in India to the Pattapur Police Station of Ganjam district in Odisha on Friday.
Inspector-in-Charge Sabyasachi Malla of Pattapur Police Station accepted the esteemed award and certificate of appreciation from the Union Home Minister.
Odisha’s DGP, Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, expressed immense pride and honour for the Odisha Police while attending the conference, which commenced today.
The Ministry of Home Affairs conducts an annual assessment of police stations nationwide, evaluating them on various criteria such as crime rate, case investigation and disposal, CCTNS usage, enforcement, detection rate, recovery value, conviction rate, infrastructure, and public service delivery.
DGP Khurania actively contributed his insights and direction to the development and grading of the police station’s infrastructure. He extended his congratulations to Ganjam SP Suvendu Kumar Patra, along with the officers and staff of the State and District police.
