Odisha’s Omicron Tally Jumps To 61 With 24 New Cases


Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported 24 new Omicron cases, taking the total tally of the cases of the new variant of coronavirus to 61, informed the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) on Wednesday.

While five of them are returnees from foreign countries, 19 are local cases.

Meanwhile, the state government on Sunday temporarily suspended the reopening of schools for physical classes from classes 1 to 5, which was scheduled to begin from January 3.
