Kathmandu: Odia weightlifter Jhilli Dalabehera added another feather to her cap after she won a gold medal in the 45kg category at the ongoing 13th South Asian Games in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The Odisha-born weightlifter clinched a place on the podium with a lift of 151kg (66kg in snatch and 85kg in clean and jerk).
The silver medal went to Divsekara Samarakoon Srimali of Lanka for her effort of 139kg (58kg + 81kg), while the bronze was bagged by local favourite Sangita Rai, who lifted a total of 127kg (57kg +70kg).
Besides, Sneha Soren from Odisha also clinched a yellow metal in 49kg category. The 18-year-old lifted 68kg in the snatch and followed it up by an 89kg effort in the clean and jerk category for a total of 157kg.
Earlier, in April, Dalabehera had brought laurels for India after she bagged first medal for the country at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Ningbo, China.
