Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s fourth COVID-19 positive case has been reported from Bhadrak district on Tuesday, informed State Health and family welfare department.
The confirmed positive case is a 29-year-old male of Bhadrak district with travel history to Dubai.
As per reports, the Health Secretary has spoke to Bhadrak Collector and asked him to shift the patient to SCBMCH.
He also directed to isolate the close contacts of the patient and get them tested besides tracing all contacts as soon as possible.
Reportedly MD NHM is monitoring the follow up action.
The health department said that the fourth COVID patient did not have any symptoms. Hence, people with travel history but no symptoms should not be complacent.
They must follow home quarantine for two weeks and then self monitor their health condition for another two weeks, it is advised.
