Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet on Friday gave approval to 14 proposals including the restructuring of Odisha Veterinary Service Cadre.
The restructuring will streamline and strengthen the institutional structure of the Odisha Veterinary Service and will enable further promotion of animal husbandry schemes among farmers and strengthen the veterinary service delivery in the State.
The restructuring of Orissa Veterinary Service Cadre will enhance the cadre strength from 1481 to 1940 by addition of 459 new posts and further upgrade the entry level post of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, currently in the level of Group -B, to Group-A and enable consequential upgradation of other higher supervisory posts.
