Bhubaneswar: The veterinary doctors in Odisha had been on mass leave for almost a month due to multiple demands. However, they called off their strike after a successful discussion with Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena.
The Chief Secretary had assured them that the Government will consider their demands and take a decision regarding them soon.
After getting assurance from the government over the fulfilment of their demands in phases, the veterinary doctors’ association decided to put their strike on hold.
Farmers and pet owners were suffering due to the strike of veterinary doctors in the State.
