Bhubaneswar: The second dry run for COVID-19 vaccination will be conducted in Odisha from 10 am to 12 pm on Friday.
The health department has said the dry run will be conducted in all the districts and municipalities of the state. The dry run will also be done in sub-divisional hospitals and community health centres, the health department has said.
The health department said the dry run for coronavirus vaccination will also be conducted at private medical colleges and hospitals.
Chief Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said that all the District Collectors, municipal authorities and CDMOs have been instructed in this connection.
The preparation is mainly focused on the implementation of cold chain when coronavirus vaccines will arrive in the state. A team will be formed with five vaccinators and 25 health workers for vaccination.
The mock drill will be conducted in three rooms. In the first room registration and identity proof details will be done. Then the person in question will be taken to the waiting room and there will be a health check up. The person will be vaccinated after passing through the phases.
After vaccination, the person will be kept for thirty minutes under strict observation. Two health workers will be pressed into service for such purpose. The health workers present in the observation room will inform doctors immediately if the person develops side effects.
