Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has announced the recruitment of 3,000 police personnel within the next 100 days. This initiative aims to address the current vacancies and enhance the state’s security infrastructure. Additionally, the government will fill 2,298 vacant home guard positions, providing a much-needed boost to the state’s auxiliary police force.
During a recent session in the Odisha Assembly, Majhi highlighted the importance of these recruitments in maintaining law and order. He also announced compassionate appointments for the families of home guards who have lost their lives in the line of duty, ensuring that their sacrifices are honored.
The Chief Minister’s plan includes the establishment of new police outposts at key locations, such as government medical colleges and major bus terminals, to improve public safety. Furthermore, the state will provide 9,000 motorcycles to inspectors, sub-inspectors, and assistant sub-inspectors to enhance mobility and response times.
This comprehensive recruitment drive is expected to significantly strengthen Odisha’s police force, ensuring better security and service for its citizens.
