To further strengthen the relationship between the Odia diaspora and their home state, the Odisha Government will appoint Minister to address the grievances of Prabasi Odias (Non-Resident Odias).
Attending a special meeting with the Odia diaspora at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas held in Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that a Minister will serve as the nodal person for Prabasi Odias. The Minister will maintain contact with Prabasi Odias and work to resolve any issues they may have related to Odisha.
The Chief Minister encouraged the Non-Resident Odias to reach out to the nodal Minister, who will listen to their concerns and take appropriate actions.
He also invited all Prabasi Odias to the Utkarsh Odisha: Make In Odisha 2025 conclave, emphasizing that they should act as an additional engine for the growth of Odisha.
Majhi noted that a conducive environment for investors in the state has been fostered by the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention, which precedes the Utkarsh Odisha business summit.
Furthermore, he urged the Prabasi Odias to contribute suggestions for the Vision 2036 initiative. The Odisha Government has set a goal to transform the state into a 500-billion-dollar economy by 2047.
“I would like to thank all the Odia diaspora brothers and sisters for coming from far away to attend such an event. After the new government came to power, we have got a unique opportunity to organize such an event in Odisha for the first time. You have expressed your valuable views on the occasion of today’s program. The resolve you have taken for the development of your native land is truly welcome. The people’s government is committed to accepting your proposal and giving it importance. With the blessings of Lord Shri Jagannath and the efforts of all of us, we will surely build a ‘Developed Odisha’.” the Chief Minister wrote on X.
