Bhubaneswar: All technical institutions including ITIs/Polytechnics/Engineering and Professional Colleges/Technical Universities in Odisha will be closed from April 19 until further orders.
The move has been adopted keeping in view the resurgence of coronavirus pandemic.
The classes and examinations for all courses shall be conducted online.
The authorities of the institutions shall take all appropriate measures for conducting classes through online mode to complete the syllabus in time.
All hostels/residential accommodations of technical educational institutions shall remain closed w.e.f 19.04.2021. Students shall be motivated not to stay in the hostel in the interest of their personal health.
However, scholars, researchers and students who desire to stay in hostel for research/project works or other academic activities may be permitted for the same upon giving undertaking and subject to approval by appropriate authorities of the concerned institutions.
Further, the concerned institutions shall function with 50 percent strength of employees with effect from 19.04.2021 until further orders. The concerned authorities shall make necessary arrangements for the same.
Teachers shall conduct online classes from their concerned institutions as well as from their home depending on the roster arrangement.
