Odisha State Badminton Coaching Camp & Coaches Training Program by OSBA concludes at KIIT

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Badminton Coaching Camp & Coaches Training Program organized by Odisha State Badminton Association (OSBA) from 29th May to 7th June 2022 was concluded today at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.

A total of 81 players & 20 coaches participated in the said event. First time in the history of Odisha Badminton a State level Coaching Camp & Coach Training Program was organized by OSBA.

Rohit Pujari, Minister of State (Ind.) for Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha and President, Odisha State Badminton Association graced the event’s closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Minister Pujari also interacted with the Indian Senior Women Volleyball Team who are undergoing a coaching camp at KIIT for the upcoming Asian Volleyball Championship in Manila, Philippines.

Shubhranshu Mishra (OAS), Deputy Secretary to Hon’ble CM Odisha and Rajiv Mehta (NSNIS), and Secretary BITOA India were the Guests of Honor at the event. Chief Coach Sachin Rana (NSNIS) National Coach, Dr Gaganendu Dash, Director General Sports, KIIT & KISS, and Nileen Kumar, Hony. Secretary, OSBA, were also present in the closing ceremony.

Further, all the players & OSBA officials thanked Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT & KISS and MP Kandhamal for providing excellent facilities (Accommodation, Food & Field of Play) for the said coaching camp & training program. Prof. Achyuta Samanta also conveyed his best wishes to all the players & coaches for their future assignments.
