Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced a crucial deadline for applications under its flagship welfare scheme, the Subhadra Yojana.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida confirmed today that the last date for beneficiaries to apply for the first installment of financial assistance is March 7, 2025.
The Subhadra Yojana, aimed at empowering women across the state, has already benefited over 80 lakh women. The scheme provides financial support directly into the bank accounts of eligible women, with each beneficiary receiving ₹5,000.
The announcement aligns with the planned release of the second installment of financial aid, which will be distributed on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2025. This strategic timing underscores the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment and socio-economic development.
Deputy CM Parida emphasized the importance of meeting the application deadline to ensure timely disbursement of funds. “We urge all eligible women to apply by March 7 to receive their first installment. This initiative is a significant step towards enhancing the financial independence of women in Odisha,” she stated.
