Odisha Sees Another Record Spike Of 4,851 COVID-19 Cases

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Wednesday reported another record spike of 4,851 COVID-19 cases, pushing the state’s tally to over 3.82 lakh, according to the State I&PR department.

As per the data, of the new cases, 2,814 were reported from quarantine centres while the remaining 2,037 are local contacts.

Khurda reported the highest cases of 703 positives followed by Sundergarh (516), Nuapada (486), Bargarh (318), Cuttack (304).

With 1,740 recoveries as on April 20, a total of 3,49,377 number of patients have been cleared free from the disease so far which means the active cases now remain at 30,927.
