Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded nearly seven Covid-19 fatalities in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll in the State mounted to 1965.
Among the deceased, one each is from Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Khurda while two each from Ganjam and Rayagada districts.
This has been informed by the Health & Family Welfare Department on Thursday.
Odisha reported its highest-ever spike in daily COVID-19 cases as 6164 more persons in the state tested positive for the virus during the last 24 hours.
The daily COVID-19 cases also crossed the 6000-mark for the very first time in Odisha since the outbreak.
