Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s COVID-19 caseload on Monday rose to 3,35,692 after 72 more people tested positive for the infection, a health department official said.
The death toll climbed to 1,910 as one more person sucumbbed to the deadly virus.
Taking to Twitter, the health department shared the details of the deceased person, “Regret to inform the demise of 74 years old female Covid positive patient of Balasore District who was also suffering from Hypertension.”
Of the 72 cases, 44 were reported from quarantine centres and the rest detected during contact tracing.
Sundergarh reported the maximum number of new cases at 11, followed by Puri at 8 and Mayurbhanj at 7.

Odisha currently has 781 active cases, while as many as 3,32,948 patients have recovered from the highly infectious disease.
