Bhubaneswar: Over 9 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine, Covishield on Friday reached Bhubaneswar. This is in addition to 1 lakh doses of Covishield which landed in the state capital on Thursday.
According to reports, a total of 9,43,930 doses of Covishield reached Odisha from the Serum Institute of India while the state had also received 1.82 lakh doses of Bharat Biotech-manufactured COVAXIN earlier.
It is pertinent to mention that various sites in several districts stopped vaccination due to vaccine doses out of stock.
Reportedly, Health Minister Naba Kishore Das on Monday had also requested the Centre for urgent supply of additional 6 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine to the state.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 vaccination drive in Odisha is all set to gain momentum after received more than 9 lakh doses of Covishield.
