Bhubaneswar/Puri: Former Minister and BJD MLA from Junagarh Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra tied the nuptial knot with Priyanka Agasti of the same locality at a resort near Pipili in Puri district on Sunday.

The high-profile wedding ceremony was held in a low-key manner in presence of about 30-40 close relatives, friends and family members.

Sources said, party leaders were also not invited to the marriage ceremony and entry of media persons was also restricted.

 It is pertinent to mention here that this is the second marriage of both Mishra and Priyanka. Mishra had parted ways with his wife, who hails from Jayapatana, and they have a son who is currently studying in Dubai.

Similarly, Priyanka, a software engineer is the daughter of Bhabani Agasti of Dekota village under Golamunda block in Kalahandi district. She had previously married a man from Dharmagarh and got divorced less than two years later.

Earlier this morning, the ‘Nirbandha’ (a pre-marriage ritual) was performed, while the marriage was solemnised in the afternoon. The couple will be hosting the reception in the evening at the resort, sources added.
