Odisha: Mercury Continues To Rise
Bhubaneswar: Mercury continued to rise in Odisha as nine places recorded 40 degree Celsius or more in the last 24 hours, said the Meteorological Centre in the capital city on Friday.
Boudh recorded the maximum temperature of 40.8 degree Celsius on Thursday. After Boudh, Bhubaneswar was the hottest at 40.4 degree Celsius followed by Bolangir 40.4, Sonepur 40.2, Angul 40.1, Baripada 40, Malkangiri 40, Titalgarh 40 and Nayagarh 40, informed the Met Centre.
Maximum temperature (Day temperature) is expected rise by two to three degree Celsius over the districts of interior Odisha during next 2-3 days.
Similarly, the maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at many places in the State including Bhubaneswar during next 4-5 days, added the Met Centre.
