Odisha likely to receive more rainfall for next couple of days: IMD


Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here on Tuesday informed that Odisha is likely to receive more rainfall for the next couple of days.

According to the IMD officials, the fairly widespread downpour is likely to continue in different parts of the state during the next 2-3 days under the influence of a low-pressure. Moreover, heavy to very heavy rainfall predicted in Koraput, Malkangiri, Bolangir, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh districts under the impact of monsoon trough line.

The latest IMD bulletin also stated that the rainfall activity is likely to intensify from August 1 as a low-pressure formation is predicted in a couple of days.
