Bhubaneswar:Â A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Directorate of Ports & Inland Water Transport and the National Technology Centre for Ports, Waterways, and Coasts (NTCPWC) at IIT Madras to develop the Odisha Maritime Perspective Plan.
The objective of the meeting was to collect feedback and suggestions from stakeholders, including officials from pertinent government departments, professionals in transport and logistics, maritime experts, port operators, and Boat Owners’ Associations. This was to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the issues and needs at the grassroots level.
Professor Kantharaj Murali, Dean of NTCPWC at IIT Madras, delivered a presentation on the proposed sections of the OMPP to the participants. After the presentation, all attendees were encouraged to provide their input and viewpoints. The feedback collected by NTCPWC officials will be considered in further discussions.
To facilitate ongoing stakeholder engagement, a feedback form along with the NTCPWC presentation was shared with all the attendees, inviting them to contribute their feedback, suggestions, and insights for the eventual integration into the Odisha Maritime Perspective Plan.
