Odisha: IMD Issues Yellow Alert For Heavy Rain Till July 5

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here has issued yellow alert for heavy rainfall in several parts of the State till July 5.

According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, heavy rainfall is likely in over 10 districts of the state in the next 24 hours.

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh tomorrow, said the IMD.

It further stated that heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Boudh, Kandhamal on July 2.

“Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur on July 3,”. it added.

On July 4, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Nuapada.

Similarly, on July 5, the alert has been sounded for Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Kendrapara Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh.
