Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to establish a teacher cluster in the cut-off area in Malkangiri district on December 18.
School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash informed about the same.
As per the decision, 15 teachers will be accommodated at the new teacher cluster so that they will be able to reach their respective schools on time. At least 15 teachers will be given appointments in the first phase which will benefit schools in seven panchayats. The new cluster will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 8 crore.
The foundation stone for the teacher cluster will be laid on December 18.
The Odisha government will set up similar teacher clusters in other remote areas of the state in a phase-wise manner soon, Dash added.
