Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday issued Unlock guidelines in view of Covid-19 for the month of August.
According to the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Pradeep Jena, the night curfew will remain in force in all districts from 8 pm to 6 am. The weekend shutdown restrictions will continue in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri districts.
SRC Pradeep Jena said that the graph is high in districts including Puri, Khurda and Cuttack. Despite this, the situation is not at all concerning. Hence, the weekend shutdown will continue in all three districts and social, religious and political institutions will continue to remain closed.
“Malls, restaurants, bars and cinema halls will reopen with 50 per cent capacity in adherence to COVID-19 protocols. However, in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri, only fully vaccinated people will be allowed inside these places,” SRC Jena said.
As Covid-19 cases are almost negligible in 27 districts out of 30 districts, the decision to reopen religious institutions will be taken by respective district administrations.
