Odisha Govt Asks Varsities, Colleges To Start Online Classes From July 13


Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has directed all the Universities and Colleges in the State to start online teaching for students of intermediate year/semester from July 13.

Odisha Higher Education department today issued an advisory for the functioning of universities and colleges from July 1.

In a letter to all the registrars of public universities and principals of all govt and non-govt colleges, the Higher education Dept Commissioner cum Secretary has asked all the HEIs to start online teaching.

The High Education department directed the government universities and colleges besides non-government colleges under its jurisdiction to carry out the official works with 50 per cent of the present staff from July 1 to August 31.

“Wherever the HEI campus/building is used by the District Administration for COVID-19 Quarantine Centre/ Hospital, the head of the HEI shall ensure that the employees of the HEI carry out their official work/duty from other campus/ building of the HEI. Simultaneously, the District Administration should also be requested to vacate the HEI campus/building at the earliest,” it said.
