Odisha Govt Asks State Universities To Implement E-Office

Bhubaneswar: The Department of Higher Education, Odisha has asked all the state universities for implementation of e-Office system in their institutions.

In a letter to all Vice Chancellors, the Higher Education dept asked for early implementation of e-Office in order to enhance transparency, accountability and assurance of data security.

In Odisha, Centre for Modernizing Government Initiative (CMGI), a society under the administrative control of General Administration and Public Grievances Department, is the authorised agency to implement e-Office in State Government offices including state public universities.

As e-Office implementation expenses is borne by CMGI out of its own budget, state universities do not have to incur any expenses on account of implementation of e-Office, it was learned.
