Odisha Govt Asks Its Fully Vaccinated Employees To Attend Office Mandatorily

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government employees, who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, have been asked to mandatorily attend office even as all Departments and Sub-ordinate Offices in the State will function with 50% strength till 30th June 2021.

The General Administration & Public Grievance Department has issued fresh guidelines for the functioning of state government offices till June end.

According to the GA dept order, departments and heads of offices in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack will be at liberty to decide the manner of selection of employees, not fully vaccinated, who will attend office on a roster basis.

However, the essential offices, services such as SRC and OSDMA offices, Police, Fire Services, Health Services, Municipal services, etc. will function in full strength.

The officers of staff who are not assigned duty on the roster will work from home with a VPN provided to them for attending the regular & pending works. They must be available on the telephone at all times to attend to any office work of urgent nature, at short notice.

Besides, the employees with disability & pregnant women employees have been exempted from attending office and work from home.

Similarly, the administrative departments will decide about the scale of operations in subordinate and field offices, the order further read.
