Bhubaneswar: Odisha Minister for Energy, MSME, Industries & Home, Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra, has stressed on improvement of energy sector in three western districts-Kalahandi, Bolangir and Nuapada.
Mishra, while reviewing the progress of Bolangir-Kesinga 220 KV line on Monday, said the government is doing everything possible to improve services in the above-mentioned districts.
Minister Mishra said some of the projects could not be taken up without cutting down trees and added that the forest department has been urged to give permission for such purpose. Mishra said the district collectors have been asked to oversee the process and take measures for completion of the projects at the earliest.
The Odisha Energy Minister said conductors will be installed at different electric poles. He also reviewed the progress of work through video conferencing.
The video conferencing was attended by Principal Secretary of Power Department Nikunja Bihari Dhal, Kalahandi Collector Parag Harshad Gawali, Bolangir Collector Arindam Dakua, Kalahandi SP B Gangadhar, Bolangir SP Madkar Sandip Sampat, Kalahandi DFO Nitish Kumar Daliyan, Regional Chief Conservator, Bhawanipatna Sudipta Das, DFO Bolangir Samir Kumar Satpathy and director operations Samir Ranjan Swain.
