Odisha DGP Stresses On Making Police Stations More Safe, Welcoming

Cuttack: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP), Abhay has stressed on making the police stations safe and more welcoming for the public.

The Odisha DGP today held Video Conference with all District SsP/Range DIsG/IsG from 11.00 AM to 01.00 PM at Odisha Police State Headquarters in Cuttack.

During the meeting, discussions were held on various important issues. The DGP directed to make the CCTV of Police Stations functional round-the-clock and tamperproof.

Policing and enforcement in COVID times, Precautions (mask, social distance, hygiene) Change in work processes (arrest, interrogation, etc) during COVID time and its implementation, were emphasised.

This apart, supply of PPEs, sanitisers, face shields, etc to the police personnel was given priority in the meeting. Some other miscellaneous matters were also discussed

Addl. DGP (Hdqrs), IGP (Mod.), IGP (Prov.), IGP (Pers.), Director SCRB and Spl. DGP, Intelligence, IGP (OPS), DIG SIW also attended.
