Odisha Couple on honeymoon Stranded In Malaysia appeals for rescue


Bhubaneswar: A couple from Nabarangpur, who are stranded at an airport in Malayasia’s Kuala Lumpur, has urged Odisha government’s help in returning home from the foreign country.

As per reports,  the couple Shankar and Pallavi were on a honeymoon trip to Malaysia and are stuck in the country since March 17 as the return flight ticket are continuously cancelled and postponed due to rising cases of Coronavirus infection.

Sources said their scheduled return flight to Bhubaneswar on 17th March got cancelled and as they could not get tickets in any other flight to India they were left stranded in the airport.

The stranded couple has alleged that neither Odisha government nor the central government is doing anything to rescue them.

A video recorded by the couple is doing rounds on social media platforms.
