Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has now introduced commerce stream at higher secondary level in 30 Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) from the new academic session 2021-22.
“I am directed to inform that Government has been pleased to approve the proposal submitted by you for opening of Commerce stream in 30 OAVs,” wrote Raghuram R. Iyer, Additional Secretary, School and Mass Education Department, in a letter to the State Project Director (SPD) of OAVs.
Meanwhile, 60 new Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts in Commerce stream will be created.
“Creation of 60 posts of PGT in Commerce stream (Level-11 in Pay matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017) in lieu of abolition of existing 30 posts each of PGT, Hindi and PGT, Odia in those OAVs,” the letter read.
