Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held talks with the members of the Puri Chhattisa Niyog at the State Guest House today to ensure a peaceful and smooth completion of the upcoming Rath Yatra.
In this year’s Rath Yatra, devotees will witness three rituals of the Holy. The Chief Minister requested the members of the Chhattisa Niyog to conduct all the rituals in an orderly manner.
He hoped that this Rath Yatra would be completed smoothly with the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath and the cooperation of all.
The Chhattisa Niyog members assured full cooperation and were very happy with the new government’s positive approach towards the servitors. They thanked the Chief Minister for announcing a corpus fund of Rs 500 crore for the temple.
While Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar welcomed the Sevayats to the meeting, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan appealed to the members of Chhattisa Niyog for the smooth conduct of the Rath Yatra.
