Odisha CM Reaffirms Commitment to promote the rights of people with disabilities


Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of ‘International Day of Persons With Disabilities’ today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has reaffirmed his commitment to promote the rights of people with disabilities in all spheres of society so that they can realise their true potential.

On International Day of Persons With Disabilities, honour the unbeatable spirit of all differently-abled,” the CM tweeted.



Since 1992, the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) has been annually observed on 3 December around the world. The day is observed with a focus to encourage an understanding of disability issues and gather support for the dignity, rights, and welfare of the disabled persons. The day also seeks to spread awareness about the benefits from the integration of persons with disability in the political, social, economic and cultural aspect of life.
