Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit the Jagannath Temple in Puri on Monday. This will be the CM’s first visit to Srimandir after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The visit assumes significance as it comes a day after Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) wrote to National Monuments Authority, requesting it to withdraw the draft heritage bylaws that have proposed stringent restrictions on construction activities around the temple.
Adequate security arrangements have been made in the Pilgrim Town in order to escort the CM.
Though the exact schedule of Patnaik’s visit is yet to be released, it is being stated that the CM will arrive at Puri by 10.30-11 am.
