Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched Customer Integrated Management Services (CIMS) and Stockyard Management System (SMS) applications of OMC through video conferencing.This system will streamline the online sale and transportation of mineral resources of Odisha Mining Corporation.
The programme was attended by Odisha steel and mines minister Prafulla Kumar Mallick, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Finance, Principal Secretary, Steel and Mines and Managing Director of OMC.
Odisha Chief Minister lauded the contribution of OMC in the progress of the state and added that this feat was achieved through the hard work of its employees. He said that he is hopeful that OMC will achieve greater heights in its field in the days to come.
The customers will now have the facility of separate dashboards for registration, orders, status on indents and other information through i3MS and MSTC. The OMC’s Daitari stockyard at Baliparbat will also be tagged with the system for better coordination.
This system will introduce unmanned weigh bride, digitalized parking and transportation list apart from others.
The OMC in the recent years has achieved success in production and sale of iron ore and it has been planning to produce over 20 million tones of the mineral in the coming years. This system will also augment the production and sale of chromite and bauxite in the state.
