Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday reviewed the post-cyclone situation in Kendrapara and announced a special package for the restoration work in the district.
As per the announcement, the state government will construct 30 cyclone shelters at a cost of Rs 2 crore for each shelter in the most vulnerable areas.
Besides, the government will also provide financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh for the repair of each school and Anganwadi centre, the Chief Minister said.
During the review, Patnaik directed the district administration to provide livelihood support to Women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs), farmers and fishermen at the earliest.
Kendrapara Collector Premchand Chaudhary and senior district officials were among good others who were present in the meeting.
