Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Sunday directed all Collectors, Superintendents of Police, and CDM & PHOs of all districts to assess the possible COVID-19 third wave situation in the state.
Mahapatra has directed the officials to remain alert and to ensure strict compliance with Covid-19 protocols amid the emergence of the new Covid variant.
“As the schools and colleges have reopened and livelihood activities are also moving swiftly, we need to be very alert and watchful and active on the possible third wave of COVID-19,” Mahapatra said.
“Officials at all levels need to be sensitised on taking immediate steps if COVID symptoms or cases are reported from any area. Vaccination can be made swifter by door-to-door campaigns,” he added.
