Bhubaneswar: The Cadre Rules for the Mineral Administration Wing of erstwhile Odisha Mining and Geology Service Rules 1976 have been amended by the Odisha cabinet on Friday and published as a separate cadre rule as “Cadre Rules for Odisha Sub-ordinate Mineral Administration Service, 2021”.
The press brief released by the government said that the ‘Mineral Administration Wing ‘ of the ‘Odisha Mining and Geology Service Rule’ shall be hereafter known as ‘Odisha Sub-ordinate Mineral Administration Service Rules’.
The latest amendment has been incorporated all the changes arising out of the restructuring of the cadre carried out earlier during 18th June 2018 in order to overcome administrative deficiencies and strengthen technical human resources of the Directorate of Mines under the Steel & Mines Department, it said.
This will ensure sustainable mineral development through effective mineral administration leading to augmentation of mineral revenue in the state, it added.
