On reopening of schools for Classes 9-12, Dash said “The state had earlier decided to resume school activities for students of classes 9 to 12 in November, but we had to reconsider our decision because of the possibilities of a second wave of Covid infection. We will discuss with all the stakeholders and a decision will be taken.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the CBSE  said the 2021 board exams will be conducted in “written mode” (pen and paper) and not online. It also said no final decision regarding the dates and other details has been taken so far, but that it is in consultation with various stakeholders.
