Bhubaneswar: All schools across the State will remain closed tomorrow in view of bandh call given by Congress, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash today.
The decision was taken to ensure the safety of the students, the Minister said.
The Minister further stated that the schools will also remain shut on Tuesday on the occasion of Saraswati Puja.
It is pertinent to mention here, the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has called for Odisha bandh on February 15 over rising fuel prices. The bandh will be observed from 7 am to 1 pm.
However, emergency services including ambulance, vehicles carrying milk, media and examinees will be exempted from the purview of the bandh.
On the other hand, all Odisha government employees working in State capital have been advised to reach their respective offices by 9.30 am tomorrow in view of the state-wide bandh.
