Odisha Assembly Speaker Inaugurates “National E-Vidhan Application”

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Legislative Assembly is all set to go paperless after Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro inaugurated National E-Vidhan Application (NeVA).

The speaker inaugurated at the Odisha Assembly to make the functioning of State legislatures paperless. The state budget for 2021-22 will be presented in the Assembly on February 22.

NeVA aims at bringing all the legislatures of the country on a single platform, creating a massive data depository.

Paperless Assembly or e-Assembly is a concept involving the use of electronic devices to facilitate proceedings in the House, the official said. It enables automation of the entire law-making process, tracking of documents and sharing of information.
