Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police BK Sharma on Monday reviewed the security arrangement ahead of Odisha Assembly session from November 13.
A review meeting was also held in this regard.
According to the DGP, a three-layered security arrangement has been put on place in and around the Odisha Legislative Assembly ahead of the winter session. Besides, CCTV cameras will be put in place on Gandhi marg to monitor the movement of the demonstrators and agitators.
This apart, a special team of 7th Battalion will be deployed to enforce law and order, Sharma informed.
Moreover, to prevent the possibility of protesters breaking the security cordon and marching towards the Assembly, multi-layered barricades will be erected on Mahatma Gandhi Marg.
The 30-day winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence from November 13. The session of the Odisha Assembly will continue till December 19.
On November 13, the presentation of the first supplementary statement of expenditure for the year 2019-20 will be done.
The Appropriation Bill on the first supplementary statement of expenditure for the year, 2019-20 is expected to be presented on November 25.
