Bhubaneswar: As many as 40 high schools transformed under 5-T model of governance in the State will soon impart +2 education. The government has taken initiatives to upgrade these schools by 2023-24 academic years.
Soon after the upgrade is completed, the classroom teaching will begin, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.
He said class 11th will begin in these schools from next year for which appointment of teachers has also begun. The government’s initiative would help students of remote areas to access education. It would also help reduce school dropout rate, he added.
As many as 53 teachers have been appointed so far. Number of teachers will also increase in coming days, he maintained. If required, guest faculty will also be posted.
The school infrastructure has been upgraded under 5-T transformation programme which prompted the government to upgrade these schools into higher secondary institution, Dash pointed out.
